MoMA is known globally as setting the bar for contemporary art museums, with its unique collections, pioneering vision and impeccable heritage of being the first museum devoted to modern art.

 

As an icon of the museum world, it is one of the most visited contemporary art institutions in the world. With a retail platform housed both within its museum buildings, in stand alone stores and online e-commerce operation, it is in the enviable position of being a globally recognised heritage ‘brand’ with a dedicated consumer base.

The concept for this audio visual presentation was to create a three dimensional. living, breathing ‘World Of Wanders’( WOW).

A multi sensory interiorscape made up of a series of ‘living tableaus’ creating a three dimensional, fully immersive experience of each design, by deconstructing each piece into its core elements of concept, form, texture, and surface.

 

For this presentation each of the eight ‘tableaus’, celebrates one of Marcel Wanders most iconic pieces either designed by him for his own collection or those designed for Moooi and Droog design, to illustrate the concept of providing a unique environment to ‘live’ each design and experience his work in a kaleidoscope of visual, tactile, sonic and aromatic experiences.

One of the signature traits of our digital world is that it fragments our attention. Our attachment to our computers and hand-held digital devices has led us to view multitasking as our default setting, very often across several digital devices at once. Rather than view this as a negative, it makes us feel productive and efficient. In reality, though, multitasking actually makes us less productive and has been shown to diminish our ability to concentrate

on one thing at a time.

 

Workplace performance depends on an ability to identify problems and create innovative solutions. This requires depth, not just breadth, Depth requires the ability to focus.
